ForgeLabX — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the ForgeLabX website and the purchase of vehicle tuning, ECU remapping, diagnostics and related automotive performance services.

By placing an order with ForgeLabX, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About ForgeLabX

ForgeLabX is a vehicle tuning and performance company providing ECU remapping, vehicle diagnostics, performance calibration and related automotive services.

Business name: ForgeLabX
Email: admin@forgelabx.co.uk

2. Our Services

ForgeLabX provides vehicle performance services including, but not limited to:

  • Stage 1 ECU remapping

  • Stage 2 ECU remapping

  • Gearbox/TCU remapping

  • Vehicle diagnostics

  • Performance calibration

  • ECU software services

  • Other tuning and performance-related services advertised on our website

The exact service supplied will depend on the vehicle, engine, ECU/TCU, existing modifications and the service selected by the customer.

3. Vehicle Eligibility

Before carrying out tuning work, ForgeLabX may require information about the vehicle, including:

  • Registration number

  • Make and model

  • Engine type

  • Year

  • Mileage

  • Existing modifications

  • Current fault codes or known mechanical issues

A vehicle checker or performance calculator on our website provides estimated performance information only. Any figures shown, including estimated BHP, torque or percentage increases, are not guaranteed results.

Actual performance can vary depending on vehicle condition, engine health, fuel quality, specification, modifications, environmental conditions, dyno methodology and other factors.

4. Vehicle Condition

The customer is responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is mechanically suitable for tuning.

A remap does not repair underlying mechanical faults. Increased engine output may place additional demands on components such as the engine, turbocharger, clutch, gearbox, drivetrain, cooling system and other vehicle components.

Where ForgeLabX identifies an apparent mechanical or electronic issue, we may recommend that the issue is investigated or repaired before tuning work is carried out.

ForgeLabX reserves the right to decline or postpone a tuning service where we reasonably believe that carrying out the work could create an unreasonable risk of damage or unsafe operation.

5. Performance Figures

Any performance figures advertised by ForgeLabX are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise.

Figures such as:

  • BHP

  • Torque

  • 0–60 mph

  • MPG/fuel economy

  • Boost pressure

  • Throttle response

may vary between vehicles of the same make and model.

Performance improvements are not guaranteed to match figures displayed by our vehicle checker, website, marketing material or previous customer vehicles.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must provide accurate and complete information about their vehicle.

The customer must tell ForgeLabX about any known:

  • Mechanical faults

  • Warning lights

  • ECU faults

  • Previous tuning

  • ECU modifications

  • Hardware modifications

  • Software modifications

  • Performance modifications

  • Problems with the engine, turbocharger, gearbox, clutch or drivetrain

Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the suitability and outcome of the service.

7. Remapping and Vehicle Reliability

ECU remapping changes the calibration of the vehicle’s existing control systems.

While ForgeLabX aims to provide reliable and appropriately calibrated software, no remap can guarantee that an existing component will not fail.

If a vehicle has a pre-existing weakness or component that is already near the end of its service life, increased performance may expose that weakness.

ForgeLabX will not be responsible for a failure caused by a pre-existing defect, improper maintenance, misuse, accident, unauthorised modification or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

8. Vehicle Modifications

Customers must inform ForgeLabX of any aftermarket modifications.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Turbochargers

  • Intercoolers

  • Exhaust systems

  • Intake systems

  • Injectors

  • Fuel systems

  • Hybrid turbos

  • Clutches

  • Gearboxes

  • Suspension

  • Wheels and tyres

  • Previous ECU or TCU tuning

A calibration designed for a standard vehicle may not be appropriate for a heavily modified vehicle.

9. Road Legality and Vehicle Compliance

The customer is responsible for ensuring that their vehicle remains compliant with applicable road traffic, emissions, insurance, taxation and other legal requirements.

Customers should notify their insurer of modifications where required.

ForgeLabX does not represent that every performance modification is suitable for use on public roads.

Certain modifications may affect a vehicle’s emissions, noise, insurance or roadworthiness.

The customer is responsible for using the vehicle lawfully.

10. DPF, EGR, AdBlue and Emissions-Related Services

Where ForgeLabX offers services relating to emissions-control systems, customers are responsible for ensuring that the resulting vehicle remains lawful for its intended use.

ForgeLabX does not authorise customers to use a vehicle in a manner that breaches applicable emissions, roadworthiness or other legal requirements.

Any service that cannot lawfully be supplied or performed on a particular vehicle may be refused.

11. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on the ForgeLabX website are subject to the information provided at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, prices include applicable VAT where ForgeLabX is required to charge VAT.

ForgeLabX reserves the right to correct obvious pricing or description errors.

Payment must be made using the payment method available at checkout or otherwise agreed with ForgeLabX.

Additional work will not normally be carried out without the customer’s agreement unless reasonably necessary to complete the originally agreed service.

12. Bookings and Cancellations

Where a customer books an appointment, they are responsible for attending at the agreed time.

Customers should provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

ForgeLabX may charge a reasonable cancellation or missed-appointment fee where this has been clearly communicated before the booking and is proportionate to the loss incurred.

Consumer cancellation rights will apply where required by law.

Where a service is requested to begin during a statutory cancellation period, ForgeLabX may require the customer’s express consent to begin the service before that period expires.

13. Services Provided Online

Where ForgeLabX supplies digital products, software or other digital content, additional consumer rights may apply.

Where applicable, customers will be provided with the legally required information concerning cancellation and commencement of digital services.

14. Warranty and Aftercare

Any specific warranty offered by ForgeLabX will be communicated to the customer before or at the time of purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a tuning service does not constitute a warranty covering the customer’s engine, turbocharger, gearbox, clutch, drivetrain or other vehicle components.

Nothing in this section affects the customer’s statutory rights.

15. Diagnostics

Diagnostic services identify faults or potential issues based on information available to ForgeLabX at the time of testing.

A diagnostic scan cannot guarantee that every mechanical or electrical fault will be identified.

Further investigation may be required to determine the underlying cause of a fault.

16. Damage to Vehicles

ForgeLabX will take reasonable care when working on customer vehicles.

The customer should remove valuable personal belongings from the vehicle before attending an appointment.

ForgeLabX will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by items left inside the vehicle where such loss or damage could reasonably have been avoided.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

17. Intellectual Property

All software, calibration files, graphics, photographs, branding, text, designs and other content produced or supplied by ForgeLabX remain the property of ForgeLabX or its relevant licensors unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers must not reproduce, resell, distribute, copy, modify or commercially exploit ForgeLabX software or calibration files without written permission.

18. Website Information

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.

However, vehicle specifications, performance figures, availability and pricing may change.

Vehicle checker results and estimated tuning gains are provided for information and guidance and should not be treated as a guaranteed performance result.

19. Website Availability

ForgeLabX does not guarantee that the website, vehicle checker or any online tool will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

We may temporarily suspend or modify website features for maintenance, updates, security or other operational reasons.

20. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

Subject to that requirement, ForgeLabX will not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated at the time the contract was formed.

ForgeLabX will not be responsible for losses resulting from:

  • Incorrect information supplied by the customer

  • Undisclosed vehicle modifications

  • Pre-existing mechanical or electrical faults

  • Poor maintenance

  • Misuse or abuse of the vehicle

  • Racing or competition use

  • Accidents

  • Unauthorised modifications made after our service

  • Failure to follow manufacturer or ForgeLabX recommendations

For consumers, nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a ForgeLabX service, please contact us as soon as possible at:

admin@forgelabx.co.uk

We will investigate the issue and aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

22. Privacy

Personal information supplied to ForgeLabX is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, how long it is retained and the circumstances in which it may be shared.

23. Changes to These Terms

ForgeLabX may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to a customer’s purchase will generally be the version in force when the contract was entered into, unless a change is required by law.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights applicable to the customer.

25. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Where ForgeLabX supplies services to consumers, those services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and other statutory consumer protections may apply. (GOV.UK)
